It seems nailed on that DJI will not be releasing the Mavic 4 Pro this month. While more recent rumours suggested that the new drone will launch this May, there is now talk that the Mavic 4 Pro will not officially arrive until June. Meanwhile, detailed specifications for DJI's next high-end drone have now been posted online, too.

The Mavic 4 Pro will not be launching later this month as rumours initially suggested. Initially, various sources suggested that DJI would begin teasing the arrival of its next Mavic drone by April 17, with an official launch to follow a week later. More recently, there have been rumours that the Mavic 4 Pro would now not be arriving until May 13. By extension, we would expect DJI to confirm this launch date a week earlier, around May 6.

Now, there have been suggestions that DJI may have delayed the Mavic 4 Pro again by another month because of issues relating to its electronic NF filters and 240 W fast charging. Apparently, both have proved troublesome enough during testing to prompt their removal from retail devices. We should stress that this is all only rumoured for the time being; no concrete evidence confirming as much has emerged yet. Similarly, OsitaLV reports that the Mavic 4 Pro will miss out on Apple ProRes codec support. Instead, the drone is set to offer XAVC-I High Profile 4:2:2 of equivalent codecs as replacements. As a result, the leaker does not expect DJI to sell a 'Cine Premium' variant this time around.

Meanwhile, a detailed specification sheet has emerged online, too. For now, more established leakers have not commented on this image's contents. In other words, we would be sceptical about its accuracy. Nonetheless, it appears detailed enough to not be the stuff of fan fiction. For example, the image suggests that DJI has equipped the Mavic 4 Pro with 28 mm, 70 mm and 168 mm lenses that resolve at 100 MP, 48 MP and 50 MP, respectively. On top of that, the drone is said to provide up to 14 stops of dynamic range compared to 12.8 stops for the Mavic 3 Pro (curr. $2,699 on Amazon).

The Mavic 4 Pro should offer a much longer range thanks to OcuSync 4+ connectivity too aided by 4G connectivity designed to work with DJI's new RC Pro 2 controller. A 95.3 Wh battery is reported to extend flight times beyond 50 minutes as well; in comparison, DJI rates the Mavic 3 Pro for up to 43 minutes between charges. Currently, DJI is expected to release the Mavic 4 Pro starting at $2,250. Prices may rise to nearly $4,500 for DJI's 'Creator Combo' though, which adds an RC Pro 2 controller, 512 GB of built-in storage and a whole heap of accessories.
